Building upon the original site of the historic Barlow family apple cannery, the 12.5-acre outdoor market celebrates the charming Sonoma town of Sebastopol and its culinary origins. A SPACE advised The Barlow’s development and management team, overseeing the careful composition of tenants who leased space at The Barlow to nurture their culinary and manufacturing creativity, asset management and public area design. The Barlow today is a sprawling marketplace of artisanal outlets—from distilleries, bakeries and wineries to breweries and restaurants—where makers can offer locals and tourists a place not only to sample their products but also to peek behind the scenes at the production of a wide variety of carefully crafted wares, spirits and foods.
